Another Great NADA Event in the Books for 2018

Another Great NADA Event in the Books for 2018

If you didn’t attend, here are a few of the things you missed at the 2018 NADA convention:

Thursday night at the Hardrock was a packed, Canadian-Dealers-only night with Alan Doyle performing (Great Big Sea), great food to eat, and drinks, of course. We enjoyed mingling with your fellow dealers and the many sponsors that helped in making the event possible, like Alan Bird from SCI, Radek Garbowski from Motoinsight, and Mark O’Brien from Dealertrack, to name just a few.

The best session had to be the Who Sold It? session by Author and Speaker Brian Pasch from PCG Companies. Straight to the point as always. If you didn’t get a chance to catch it, you can find most of it in his book titled Who Sold It? Brian’s straightforward explanations for how to properly track attribution and stop using your CRM as a marketing accountability tool were bang on. Third party portals, digital advertising campaigns and other marketing efforts need to be given credit for bringing the leads into your website lead forms, not just the website itself.

There were some great new features by a lot of vendors as well as a list of new product announcements by others. The big feature we were happy to see was from one of our Partner Vendors, Contact at Once, that just rolled out an upgrade to their platform that allows you to manage multiple chats at a time as well as link your inventory photos and details directly to the person with whom you are engaged in a chat. This tool will allow dealers to better service consumers in the way they expect. If you’re not using a chat provider or feel your current one is not meeting your needs, feel free to reach out to Bill Warren who will arrange a demo for you.

A lot of vendor conversations and meetings take place over the four-day event and if you’re there for just that, then you will easily put in 16-hour days while you’re there. A worthwhile time for sure.

Next year’s NADA convention will be held in San Fran, late January! We’ll definitely be there, and as always, we’ll let you know how it goes in case you can’t make it.
